Accuracy achieved on the putting green

Sikte makes ball markers machined from solid metal, with a spinner you turn by hand and a groove you can find by touch. The mark is a ring split by a single line: the groove, seen from above.

    The spinner

Turn it. It stays where you leave it.

The top is a separate piece that turns inside the base. It moves with a light push and stays where you leave it. Try it: drag the disc, or use the slider.

Set it, set your ball down, and pick the marker up before you putt.

    Made like a small instrument

    Four details you can feel.

    01

    Reeded edge

Fine teeth around the spinner, like the edge of a coin, give your fingertip something to turn.

    02

    A groove, not a print

The line is cut edge to edge and filled white, so it is visible and you can find it by touch.

    03

    Held by a magnet

A magnet is set into the base. It clips to a magnetic hat clip and lifts with a pickup tool.

    04

    Machined, then engraved

Turned and milled from solid metal. The underside takes a laser-engraved line of your choosing.

    Our story

More than a decade in the making.

I first tried to make this marker more than ten years ago, with a welder's help.

That first try was a start. The idea never changed: a spinner you can feel, set in a base that holds it still. What changed was how it gets made, until it could be drawn in CAD, cut from solid metal and finished like a good watch case.

    1. ThenA welded prototype

The first attempt, built with a welder's help. It proved the idea was worth chasing.

    2. In betweenYears of drawing

Sketches, models and small fixes, each one closer to what I had in mind.

    3. NowMachined from solid metal

Every Sikte part is drawn in CAD and cut from solid stock, not cast and not stamped.

    How it is made

Made from solid metal, finished by hand.

Sikte is designed and machined for one purpose. Nothing is cast, stamped or bought off a shelf and rebadged.

    The spinner

    Stainless steel

Dense and hard, so the spinner has real weight and holds its edge. It wipes clean and stays that way.

    The base

    Anodized aluminum

Takes a deep, even color, which is why both sizes come in six finishes named for the course.

    The feel

    Set by hand

Each marker is assembled and checked by hand so it turns the way it should.

    Questions

    Before you order.

    When can I buy one?

Sikte is pre-launch. First builds are being made now. Join the launch list below and we will email you when orders open.

Where does the name come from?

Sikte (SIK-teh) is the Norwegian word for aim. It also means a sight, as in the sight on a rifle.

Can I use it in competition?

Ball-marker size limits in the Equipment Rules are under 1 inch tall and under 2 inches across. Sikte is well inside both limits, at 32 or 41 mm across. Always check your local rules and committee before you play a tournament round.

    Is the groove painted?

The groove is cut into the spinner and filled white. It stays a groove, so you can feel it.

Will it work with my hat clip?

Each marker has a magnet in the base. It holds to magnetic hat clips and pickup tools. Hold strength depends on the clip.

    Is the magnet safe?

It is a small neodymium magnet, sealed in the base. Keep it away from small children, pacemakers and other medical implants, and from cards, phones and other electronics. See magnet safety.

    How does engraving work?

One line, up to 12 characters, laser engraved on the underside. We do not engrave artwork on single orders. For logos, use the quote form for orders of 25 or more.
